Ukrainian/Russian version of cutlet is a pan-fried minced meat dish that contains ground meat, breadcrumbs, garlic and onion. It is one of the most popular house dish in Ukraine. It served with side dishes such as mashed potatoes, fries, pasta, boiled buckwheat and barley. It is easy, delicious dish and our way to cook and serve it.

• 2 lbs ground pork (or beef) 800 g / 1.5 Lbs
• 1/2 medium onion, blended 80 g / 3 oz
• 3 cloves garlic, blended
• 1/2 tsp each salt, grounded black pepper
• ¾ cup of breadcrumbs for add and for deep 50 g / 2 oz
• 1 egg 120 g /
• 2 tbsp. vegetable oil for frying 30 ml / 1 fl oz


1. Blend your onion and garlic together into a paste, then get your other ingredients ready
2. Combine minced pork (beef or mix both), onion, garlic, egg and 2 tbsp. breadcrumbs for the cutlets and gently mix together with your hands. Be careful not to over-mix the meat
3. Keep mixture in refrigerator for 30 min.
4. Form the mixture into 10-12 oval-shaped patties
5. Deep the cutlet into breadcrumbs (option)
6. Fry them on medium heat for both side for 10 min on the fry pan with vegetable oil
7. Drain the oil from the cutlet with paper towel
Good to serve with any salad
